Position Title: Head of People
Reports to: CEO
Job Purpose: Our team has grown to 100+ people spread across 7 offices in 3 continents. As we scale to a global enterprise we want to build a work environment which focuses on what really matters: attracting and retaining the best talents and empowering them with the right resources to build the best technologies for the modern eCommerce merchants. We are looking for an exceptionally driven individual to join us as a Head of People and help us to create a world class working environment.
What you will do:
Integrate our company values into every aspect of the employee lifecycle, from employer branding, to hiring, onboarding and development of team members
Partner with the leadership team to develop and implement company wide levelling plans and performance management processes
Develop recruiting strategies and programs that help us reach exceptionally talented people who align with our mission and will thrive in our culture
Manage a workforce located worldwide (North America, EU, UK, Asia, Australia)
Launch Learning & Development programs that grow individual skills and capabilities alongside the company
Stay up to date with HR related legal guidelines. Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws. Ensure appropriate controls and documentation are followed to meet security and compliance requirements across all systems
Develop a compensation framework that ensures we are able to attract and retain a world-class team
You will recruit and manage an exceptional team of people operations and talent pros that will develop creative and innovative strategies to help our people unleash their potential
You will be a thought partner to the entire leadership team as it relates to organizational design, talent development, hiring & more
You will view our people as our most important resources and work tirelessly to help them be great
Create processes and procedures to be implemented company wide about payroll, expense management and in general every aspect of our team life
What you will bring:
5+ years of experience in tech companies of medium/large size (500+ employees), including 2+ years in management at a fast-growing company
Passion about HR, and knowledge of all the latest, cutting-edge best practices in HR
Diploma (preferable a MSc) in Human Resource Management
Experience in every area of people management (HR, recruiting, etc), and ability to manage teams overseas
Driven, self-motivated and organized
History of reporting directly to Executive Management and being an active member of senior management
Ability to coach and mentor direct reports, peers, and leaders on sound talent management practices
Excellent critical thinking, judgment, and decision-making ability, including the ability to weigh the short- and long-term costs and benefits of a potential action
Ability to develop recommendations grounded in a combination of data, best practices research, and personal expertise
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, highly collaborative, with the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, across all levels of the organization.
